When you walk into your house with your shoes on, you bring in this stuff and it gets into the floors and carpets. It then gets kicked up whenever there is activity. Instead of staying in the floors it goes back up into the air and you increase your chances of breathing it in. This risk gets lowered quite a bit when you leave your shoes outside or in the entry way of the house.
Do not get your dry cleaning right away. Let it stay at the cleaner’s for a few days. The chemicals used by most dry cleaners are awful for humans. Some of them have been linked to cancer and neurological damage. You need to make sure that the clothes are completely dry before you take them home. When you don’t let the clothes get entirely dry, those substances are sent to your skin and you may breathe in a few of them. You may also try to look for a dry cleaner that uses non harmful and environmentally cleaning methods.
Make sure you ventilate your house! Sure you had these double paned house windows put in to keep the air in your home at your ideal temperature. But whenever you leave those windows shut all day and night, you’re boosting your risk of breathing in the stuff you kick up as you walk around. The dust mites that get kicked up after you dust and vacuum can’t break free. The smoke and fumes that imbue the house whenever you cook on the stove or with your oven don’t ever dissipate. The vapor from your shower can seep into your walls creating mold to form which often can then get breathed in and do serious damage to your health. Switch on the fans. Open the windows. Give all the dust and also other material a chance to get outside.
You will make your house better using a lot of different methods. Remember, coming home doesn’t mean that you have shut out the problems of the entire world in a physical sense. Take several measures to make your place a pollution free zone.
